Edisto Beach 2016

We just got back from a fantastic week on Edisto Island! The first half of the week was spent with Grandmommy and Grandaddy and the second half with Grammy, Uncle Mitch, and Aunt Stacey.  We had a fun relaxing time spending the days at the beach and the pool, eating yummy food, and playing. Your favorite parts were building sand castles, burying me in the sand, being pulled in your buggy, and jumping in the pool. You have no fear and did cannonballs and everything at only four years old. We were so happy to create these memories with you this week and hope for many more happy beach memories in the years to come

4th birthday!

You had a birthday week instead of day this year! You asked for a safari themed party and we discussed that it would just be family this year. However, when the invitations were ready you wanted to take them to school. Since we moved on your birthday last year and you have really enjoyed going to school friends' birthdays this year, we let you have a circus party the week before your birthday and a family safari party the week after. On your birthday, you had swim lessons and then we went to the Mexican restaurant where they sung to you and gave you yummy ice cream. You enjoyed the week thoroughly and were so well-behaved for all the birthday events. The two parties might have been slightly confusing though, as on the morning of the second you asked, "So I'm five now?" It was precious! We can't believe four years have gone by so quickly! You have the best heart and you are so funny! You have a zest for life and know EXACTLY what you want. We can't wait to see all the awesome things you accomplish and wish you many many more happy birthdays to come!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth (in March)

Well, baby girl, you had your first major "accident." You and your best friend, Gretchen, were playing at school and somehow you bumped heads in just the right way to loosen your front tooth. Thankfully, our dentist met us after hours and did an x-ray, which determined that both of your front teeth had broken at the roots. He had to take them both out. Dad and I were amazed at how great you did! You stayed so still and didn't fuss one bit through all the torture of having those teeth numbed and taken out. You were a rockstar! Understandably, you were confused and upset after it was all over, and you felt numb and strange, but some ice cream from your favorite restaurant (Wendy's) did the trick. We are so proud of you and think you're absolutely adorable without your two front teeth.

Sickness and snow!

You had a virus this week, so you've been home all week with mom and dad (taking turns each day). We've had some good snuggle time and played LOTS of Candy Land. You are feeling better this morning, so we ventured out into the tiny bit of snow that fell this morning.

Christmas Memories 2015

The holiday season seems to get busier and busier each year, so I'm trying to start early. Here are things I want to remember about this Christmas:

1. When we talked about writing letters to santa you went to your paper and wrote out letters of the alphabet and cut them out to put in an envelope to mail to Santa.  It was the most precious thing!
We visited Santa in Florence with Grammy this year!

2. Grandmommy, Grandaddy, and Uncle Rob came to see you before Christmas to celebrate. We had great fun! You had your first dance recital  (Grammy and Grandpa Tom came over for that as well). You were the cutest Frosty around!

3. For Christmas Eve and Christmas day, Grammy and Grandpa Tom were here. We had a great time and Santa sure was good to you this year!
